This fund is in memory of our Dad who sufferred with asthma for most of his life. Dad's asthma led to many bouts of lung illness throughout his life but, despite being gravely ill as a child and diagnosed with terminal aspergelosis in middle age, he lived for 77 years. Dad bounced back from his illnesses and for the majority of his years he was well and lived life to the full. He fitted a lot into his life, spent 53 happy years with our mum, gained much pleasure from the birth of his children and grandchildren, and enjoyed worldwide travel with his job and for leisure. We would like to thank all Dad's family and friends for their contributions to this fund and for all their cards and letters of sympathy. Our Dad was a generous and considerate man and would have been so pleased to be supporting the good work and in particular the research carried out by Asthma UK.
